Ethical and transparent commitment

The Role of AI at The Times Latino

Our artificial intelligence usage policy at The Times Latino.

Core principle

At The Times Latino, part of The Times en Español, LLC, we use artificial intelligence (AI) tools ethically, responsibly and transparently to support our journalistic process. All of our articles and content are created, reviewed and verified solely by human journalists and editors. AI does not generate or publish content autonomously.

How we use AI

Artificial intelligence is used under strict human supervision for the following tasks:

Data analysis and trend detection
Initial research and summaries of public sources
Headline and text structure suggestions
Assistance with grammar correction and style improvement
Basic public sentiment analysis

All AI-assisted material is reviewed, edited and approved by a human editor before publication.

Quality oversight

Víctor Manuel Arce García, our director, personally oversees the use of AI tools to guarantee authenticity, accuracy and journalistic rigor.
